It was this effect by Lee Asher that influenced our own style of card magic and spawned a new generation of young magicians performing visual close-up magic.
With three phases beginning with the Silver Surfer - an animated handling to double lift that instantly brings life to the effect, followed by Slap Happy - an awesome way to bring a selected card to top. INSTANTLY! And finally, ending with an Ambitious Explosion , still one of our favorite four-ace productions.
Lee Asher is an anomaly. His inventive mind creates profoundly different techniques that should be utterly impossible, but somehow his hands manage to perform these miracles. While someone may have thought, “I would love to throw a double in the air, have it twirl around, and then I will catch it on the deck” or “I want to do a Twisting the Aces effect that seems to happen with no moves and no counts”, they quickly realize that these things are clearly outside of the realm of possibility. Lee Asher, however, pursued these feats and manifested these miracles into real world workable things. Further he accomplished much of this as a young man. He popularized his magic by going to conventions and selling his lecture notes and videotapes out of his backpack in the lobby, and oftentimes was the hit of the convention for some attendees!Since then Lee has been at the forefront of the card magic scene for over a decade, creating excellent magic and new media for the consumer. His videos have run the gamut from filmed in a kitchen, magic explained in a theatrical film context, to magic on the road meeting various magicians and learning great magic. Further he is probably the one most responsible for the popularity of those extraordinary playing cards, Jerry’s Nuggets.

More than 20 minutes of detailed instructions of each phase with added tips. Plus you can put parts of this routine into your own routine --- I personally like slap happy as it's super easy and visual. Highly recommend this for magicians who can handle a deck of cards very well. It's rather difficult so do not get this if you are a beginner.
AND ITS GREAT FOR THE PRICE!
This routine is Uber-Magical. The first phase is very skillful looking with the card basically floating down the spread. The second phase is instant, yet head-slappingly simple- this is one of the things I love about card magic.
The final ace production comes from nowhere, It is almost like you just decided that you wanted the aces- and there they are! The ace production IS difficult, but it is more of a knack than a "move" similar to the duck change, or a pushoff double. There is a reason why Lee's magic is so well known the world over!

to your magical repertoire. The difficulty rating doesn't lie, and the moves in this routine will take quite a bit of practice.
