My wife Divya had purchased this for me on my birthday but I could never get to use such an expensive and cool card clip. However, recently I started using it and the looks I get from people when I bring it out to remove cards for performing magic is priceless. It's like the magic has been given a super lift of awesomeness by this cool clip. It also acts as an automatic misdirection as he who sees this clip can't take their eyes off it. Thanks for this wonderful gift :)

This is hands down one of my favorite magic related purchases of the year. I love the beautiful carbon look and feel and the great protection the classic porper clips add.

I never leave home without a porper clip, but now it's never without my carbon clip. This clip compliments cards with dark tuck boxes as we'll if you choose the black one like I did.

When I say that this clip is the best on the market I mean it. It basically works magic on your cards, no pun intended. You can literally put a deck that has cards that are severely warped inside this clip, with their box, and in an hour or two they will be as good as new. This is due to the equal distribution of pressure throughout the sturdy clip. Not to mention the humidity of your pockets don't ruin your cards because of the protection. This clip is overall a great investment.

This review is for the "Carbon Clip - Silver". Without a doubt, this is a very nice clip. It is made with thick, sturdy aluminum, and distributes firm pressure across the surface of the tuck case. Something that might not be obvious from the pictures is that the outside long edges have a slight outward bevel so the clip won't scuff the side of the card box as you slide it in--a nice touch. I am noticing, after just a few days, that some color is getting rubbed off of the front and rear of the tuck case due to friction, but I imagine that's normal for any of these clips. Functionally, this clip is probably just like the more affordable variants (the synthetic carbon, cork, etc.). As some reviewers for those clips have mentioned, I found that removing extra cards, such as gaffs or ads, helps with the fit.

The thing about this clip that really impresses people is the carbon fiber inlay. The pictures don't do it justice. As you wiggle it back and forth, It shimmers in sort of a holographic way that makes the inlay look thicker than the metal of the clip. I get a "whoa!" out of every person I show it to. However, at more than twice the price of the synthetic carbon version, you definitely pay for that extra bit of style. For that reason, I give it 4/5. If they ever went on sale, I'd probably buy another one.

Great quality clip like everything that Porper makes. If you have owned a Porper Clip in the past, you know what to expect. In terms of functionality, it isn't different in any way that I can tell. That said, I guess the question would be is it worth the extra 65 bucks for this clip over the classic.

For me, I know how long the clips last and I only needed a new one because I lost my other 2 while moving, so I figured if I'm only going to have one card clip for the next several years, (as was the case with my last 2), I may as well get the most interesting looking one I can find. If you have the money to spend on it, I can honestly say it is a beautiful clip, the photographs above are very true to the look of the clip. If you don't have 95 bucks to drop on a clip, go with a standard Porper, the extra money really is only for the look. You have to decide if that is worth it to you or not.

And like everything that Dan and Dave/ Joe Porper make, I am sure the clip will last me a long time.
