In my opinion, GENESIS volume 1 by Andrei Jikh is far by the best DVD for beginners in cardistry. I personally started out my journey in cardistry with the help of this DVD. The teaching in this DVD is just so great, in fact I would say one of the best that I have come across. He teaches you cardistry from square one, this includes all the basic one handed cuts to the spring to card fans to the elements of cardistry and finally Andrei's own original concepts. This is really one of the best instructional DVDs out there for beginners in cardistry. If you don't have this DVD, trust me and just give it a try. I can assure you that you will not regret your decision :)

i just got genesis for my birthday and started watching it straight away. This DVD is amazing. Andrei is the best teacher I have ever come across and explains everything in full detail. He goes over common problems like your hands being to small and teaches you techniques to overcome this. The contents on this dvd is very good, its got some easy cuts and stuth and then it goes into the harder moves. I would deffinately reccomend buying genesis but i would say that you have to get number 1 before jumping straight to 2. Overall an excellent DVD and worth every penny!

This is an awesome DVD if you are just starting out with Cardistry which I was when I got this. This teaches you tons of beginner flourishes. These included the simple one handed cuts to more advanced stuff like the one handed riffle shuffle.
Even though this is for beginners, you still have to practice. You should really get this DVD because it is great.

In my opinion, Genesis vol 1 is the BEST flourishing DVD for beginner. This DVD starts from basic cuts, to difficult moves. This DVD is really great, because Andrei doesn't just show how he does the moves, but he teaches very well. I have some basics of flourishing before watching this DVD, and I found that what I've always been doing is not the best way to do the moves. For example, even if I can spring the cards before, but watching his tutorial on that, makes me realize I could change the way I'm doing for the better springing that gives better sound, and not limited myself. Also, I've always thought that I can't do the thumb cut because my thumb is short. But Andrei teaches a tip for short thumbs people too. And now I can do the thumb cut.
The teaching styles are good. He begins with overview of the moves to help you understand what you will do, then start teaching with words explanation. After that, there is a slow motion of the moves to review and help you practicing along. Also, he has conclusions of every moves such as tips on the moves.
The moves in this DVD, are basic moves that you will need for further flourishing, and also Andrei's own moves are included. I would say every moves are awesome! I really love this DVD.
Moreover, after over 3 hours of Andrei's teaching, there are bonuses from Alejandro Portela (the Cuso), and the best cardists ever, Dan and Dave.
And last, for everyone who wants to begin flourishing, I highly recommend this DVD.

This DVD is perfect for any one starting out. It helps lay the foundation for anyone looking to get into flourishing. Everything is easy to understand and Andrei does a great job teaching.
