Erdnase: Bible Edition

I have a love/hate relationship with this edition of Erdnase. It's beautiful, fits perfectly in your pocket and can go anywhere with you. I spent many days in the break room at work reviewing it's contents. The draw backs of it are that the pages are very thin, which can make reading difficult because you can, in the right light, see both sides of the page. The font is also very small, which can be hard on the eyes. And believe it or not, it's almost too beautiful. It's meant to be portable, but I kind of don't want it to leave the house because it looks great and I want to keep it that way. I have a ten dollar edition of Erdnase that isn't pretty, but if it gets rained on or dropped in the mud I won't cry. It was ten dollars and not rare. This is rare, so I think it's beauty and rareness kind of subverts the aim to make it portable.

Whoever thought of this deserves an award. Over the years I have heard countless magicians cite and reference The Expert at the Card table as the "bible" of card manipulation. A few years ago I picked up an old copy and have read it multiple times since. Now I have this wonderful book with me everywhere I go!!

Pros: Easily fits in your pocket, durable cover/won't bend easily, lines of text are numbered for easy referencing (like the Bible), very discreet (in case you want to reference something without notifying the entire room), totally worth $15.

Cons: I'm still trying to find something wrong with it.
