Bee® Erdnaseum

Take a step back in time, when Erdnase was alive. The Bee® Squeezers box is an exact reproduction of an early 1900's classic. The Bee® Worm back playing cards inside have been imprinted with an original Scott Kim ambigram that says, "S.W. Erdnase" or "W.E. Sanders" when turned end-for-end. Traditionally cut and printed by the US Playing Card Company on premium paper using their casino quality web press.

Bee® Erdnaseum

More Views

These cards are offered to the public in commemoration of the enduring mystery of The Expert at the Card Table and its author, S.W. Erdnase. Among the men whose names have been discovered as anagrammatic equivalents (?) to the pseudonymous writer, W.E. Sanders emerges as perhaps the most compelling. A longtime card player and a student of magic, Sanders was the kind of person who took half-a-dozen decks with him on a camping trip. Skilled in deception, he rearranged the letters in his name, tore pages from his diaries and snuck out of his home for late night visits to high-rolling private clubs. A mining engineer and professional writer by trade, Sanders was eccentric and brilliant, offering no justification and seeking no credit for the knowledge  he imparted. But whatever the result of his actions may be, if they inspire lovers of card entertainment and legerdemain, then they will have provided the primary motive of card table artifice, as it needs the mystery.

I received a deck of theses cards along with my purchase of an uncut sheet and I feel that they were a WONDERFUL bonus. They look and feel great. Just the type of quality we have come to expect. I absolutely LOVE the concept behind the deck and the box art is what really sold me. They make a great addition to any collection and since I like to have a couple unopened packs in my collection, I see myself ordering a few more in the near future. Great job.

These decks are simply amazing when it comes to handling. The first thing you will notice about these cards is the box itself. The reason i bought these cards was purely due to the appeal the box gives. When performing gambling moves (perfectly suited for second deal and bottom deal), the first thing people notice is the box when i bring out my deck. The box has the vintage look to it and it never fails to get that admiring look from the spectators.

The back design is not that great however my explanation of S.W. Erdnase. and W.E. Sanders makes the back design concept more interesting and allows me to educate them about the true genious of S.W. Erdnase. I am from India and magic is not so popular there as it is in the U.S. However, this deck has helped me create interest among people as I talk to them about Erdnase and then do the Erdnase color change, a simple yet powerful move in magic.

This deck is truly one of my most favourite decks.

This deck is great for faro shuffles from the bottom up! If I could recommend a deck for someone to learn the faro shuffle, this would be it. This deck is not as slippery as normal Bee's, so it seems to give better control, and it fans easier too. Another plus for fanning is that the corner indices are smaller and narrower, which allows the spectator to view the values of the cards once you perform a fan. The face design looks a little different from normal Bee's, for both the pip cards and court cards. More old fashioned I guess. All in all I love these cards!

These cards feel different to me than other Bee cards. They don't seem as stiff, thick, springy or slippery as the others. And that's what i like about them. These don't feel like Bee's but they handle extremely well. They feel controllable. My favorite Bee playing cards. i cannot stress enough. PICK THESE UP!

Wow. Thought these decks would have sold out in their first couple of days. Amazing deck. Super cool. Handle like a dream and you feel like you're holding a piece of history when you use them. Can't recommend highly enough. Use them all the time and they never let up. Still feel as new now as when I took them out of the box for the first time. Five Stars, easily.

When I purchased these cards, I was skeptical. Although I didn't LOVE the design, I melted when I felt the finish. It feels like putting cards in a tub of water to soften them up, and then wrap them in silk. Thats how these feel! The cards are nice and thick with a smooth finish, probably better than an air-cushion and a linen finish. They stay straight at all times. The full bleed design also allows the cards to be used for great gambling demonstrations.

The one downside to these cards is because of their full bleed design, you cannot do reverse cards tricks such as, triumph or something like the braue method to reverse a card. Other than that, these cards are SLICKKK.

Every time I buy a new custom deck I feel like, "Wow, they'll never top this". And yet, they do, and Erdnaseum is just another example. The smoothest, cleanest feeling deck I've ever touched. My lack-luster fans were suddenly perfect. They make the standard Bikes feel like they're printed on recycled toilet paper. If you could print a deck of cards on silk, this is what they could feel like.

I can't tell you how much I love the design. Simple, old, and elegant. The faces are very old fashion; it's nice to see something different and it's more than different, it's beautiful. And for those complaining about it not having a white border, boo hoo. Just about every other deck on this web page and Theory11 that is for sale has a border. You have the pick of the bordered cards. All-over back designs have their virtues, and I'd advise learning a few before demanding that every card have a boarder.

Before I purchased, let alone ever knew these cards were in existence, I was always alternating between different decks every other night I was performing my gambling demo routine. I switched back and forth between the Bee Stinger Backs and the Bee Erdnase Expert at the Card Table deck, but for some reason I couldn't pick just one deck to use and perform my gambling demo routine and use only that deck.

Well, once I saw these for sale on Dan and Dave's website, and also who the manufacturer and artist was I knew that these would be the only cards I would perform with. The card stock is sturdy and casino quality so you know that they will last you quite awhile if you treat them more than just a normal and regular old deck. Another great feature is the entire design for both the card box and the back of the cards, which turn out to be the exact same designs when these cards were first released to the public. Top quality with a design from the very beginning of these cards, you can rest assured that they will help you accomplish your routines with style and grace.

This deck is a perfect alternetive for standard Bee's, not only because it handles great, but also because it's one of the few borderless decks now. So if you're looking for a deck suitable for table work, such as second deals, bottom deals and moves like that, look no further! This is the deck for you!

Wow, when I picked up these cards for the first time I was very impressed. The stock and finish are amazing. They are some of my favorite cards now. They are great for gambling demonstration with a story about Erdnase, and also just for magic. Definitely pick these up!
