From the minds of two of the most creative magicians working today - Dan White and Dan Hauss - comes Lit. A spectator is asked to take a match out of a matchbook, and strike a match to verify its validity. The matchbook is then held tightly in their closed fist.
A card is selected from the deck - then visually vanished under impossible conditions. The spectator slowly opens their hand to find the matchbook itself has visually transformed into their selected card. Featured on David Blaine's ABC television special "Dive of Death".
Lit truly speaks for itself. The effect is completely practical, extremely simple to learn and perform, and provokes just the type of reaction we all hope for in performance. Includes everything but regular matches - including TWO bonus routines from Dan White and Andrew Gerard that make the perfect lead-in to Lit.

Since there are numerous ways to routine this effect to get an even larger reaction to just the main Lit effect on its own. However, on the DVD both Dan White and & Dan Hauss teach you a couple of really great effects that flow well together, while giving you plenty of ideas in the process so you can create something truly unique and original to you. One routines that are taught on this DVD that I like to use the one which incorporates the jumping match effect from an entire burnt match book. Once finished you jump right into the main routine that makes Lit so powerful and entertaining to watch. But like I previously stated, once you receive the effect and give it some thought on if you can be used to enhance any other effect you know. Or does it give you an idea to perform the effect in a way that is completely unique to you?
The gimmicks that are included are high quality and you can use the same gimmick again as long as you don't have it signed. There are also some subtleties taught that will allow you to improve the quality of the gimmicks that don't take that long to do either. All in all, you are provided with everything you'll need to learn a true insanely visual card effect that no one sees coming at all.
You also get 2 bonus effects that come along with this DVD, and both of them are highly visual in their own right with one being incredibly simple, and the other you might have to do a bit of research and tracking down on what's needed to perform the effect. To clarify any confusion, I'll briefly talk about the one of the bonus effects, Dan White's Floating Match on Hand. The title says it all, you remove a match from a match book and then place the match in the palm of your hand and begin to focus. Then, as slowly or as quickly as you want, the match eerily starts to float up while in the palm of your hand. You can then give out the match to someone and allow someone to inspect your hand, if they were to ask of course. A really great effect, since I have always loved the original Floating Match on Card, now I can perform a very similar effect by using on the palm of my hand. If anyone is familiar with or performed the Floating Match on Card, will absolutely love and perform the version Dan White teaches as one of the bonus effects.
The other is the Self Lighting Match Pack by Andrew Gerard and is the one effect you will more than likely need to order if you wish to perform this effect. Which may not be quite the same for some of you, but a vast majority will need some time to track down everything from Google. But once you have everything and are ready to perform, the Self Lighting Match Pack is very mesmerizing and captivates everyone's attention because causing a regular book of matches held at the finger tips in one hand, to suddenly burst into flames is very magical indeed! The reset can take a few minutes so it's not something you can perform once, then turn around and try performing it again. So keep it for when you really want/need to impress either a certain someone or your entire audience as a whole, performed at the right moment and it will be talked about for the rest of their lives.
In closing, if you want to perform an effect that isn't entirely a card trick? Then Lit is the perfect effect, by combining a card effect into another magical prop, the book of matches, when combined makes some really incredibly powerful and memorable pieces of magic. Not to mention two bonus tricks that are effects you'll actually USE and not discard.
