  1. Tweezers by Juan Tamariz

    Tweezers by Juan Tamariz

Tweezers, a dual phased two-card-monte routine from Juan Tamariz, is undoubtedly one of the best monte routines you can perform. The routine is designed for absolute fairness — the magician removes two black tens to act as “tweezers,” while a spectator freely selects an Ace and court-card of contrasting color. What happens next is a slow-paced swindle that belongs in every performer’s repertoire. The relaxed manner and presentational style of Tamariz is what makes this piece so special. Tweezers offers a rare opportunity to sit down with arguably the greatest living magician and improve your magic ten-fold.
  2. Three of Clubs by Juan Tamariz

Three of Clubs by Juan Tamariz

After years of waiting, Juan Tamariz, one of the greatest minds in magic, is finally prepared to share more treasures from his inner secrets. Although known for his stack, Mnemonica, Three of Clubs offers new insight into a principle that first appeared on the world’s stage more than one-hundred years ago. What begins as a benign card trick climaxes with a change that will fool the seasoned veteran. Today, we are pleased to offer a rare session with El Maestro. If you wish to change your magic for the better, then look no further - Three of Clubs is the addition you need.
  3. Swivel by Simone Black/Toby

    Swivel by Simon Black/Toby

From up and coming magician Simon Black/Toby comes a resurrection of one of our favorite sleight of hand techniques. Swivel, the product of Simon's tireless study of the original move, expands and refines Earnest Earick's Longitudinal Swivel Steal, first published in By Forces Unseen. Today, with the aid of Swivel, you'll enjoy Simon's thinking behind the Longitudinal Swivel Steal and a variety of applications we're sure will keep you busy for hours. Whether it's a triple-change, control, or incredible production, Swivel is only limited by your imagination. If you're ready to expand your knowledge of the classics, look no further. Swivel offers a modernist approach to one of our all-time favorites.
  4. Pre-Pre-Configuration by Bill Goodwin

    Pre-pre-figueration by Bill Goodwin

In this astonishing effect, any four of a kind is found by the spectator from a shuffled deck. This amazing piece of magic has the spectator seemingly accomplish all of the work, but the cards are completely under your control. Originally published by Goodwin in Notes from the Batcave in 1993, this fascinating take on Jennings’ Prefiguration is sure to leave your audiences baffled.
  5. Turning Point by Bill Goodwin

    Turning Point by Bill Goodwin

This surprising feat of dexterity demonstrates not only the performer’s ability to manipulate the cards, but the cards’ affinity for taking part in the mischief. This quick trick is accomplished with difficult sleight of hand, but once mastered, it will become one of your go-to effects for the inquisitive layperson.
  6. Cannibal Cards by Bill Goodwin

    Cannibal Cards by Bill Goodwin

Originally published in Lecture 1988, Bill Goodwin brings us another amazing version of the nearly 50 year old classic, demonstrating how the four Kings in every pack of playing cards are indeed Cannibal Cards. One by one, three odd cards are eaten by the Kings during a fair display, leaving only the four Cannibal Kings. This streamlined version of Cannibal Cards leaves you clean and ready for your next trick.
  7. Wenderz Flip by Bill Goodwin

    Wenderz Flip by Bill Goodwin

This quick, impromptu trick has the four aces turning face up in a surprising and incredibly visual manner. Each ace revolves in the blink of an eye, with the added bonus that the cards are handled by the spectators throughout. The timing and technique are expertly choreographed, so enjoy this modern refinement of Vernon’s Twisting the Aces.
  8. Shake Change & Ambition by Bill Goodwin

Shake Change & Ambition by Bill Goodwin

This surprisingly simple change has many applications, one of which is featured here in Ambition. A selected card visually jumps from the bottom of the deck to the middle, with just a blow. Again, the selected card transports itself from the middle to the top. Bill Goodwin explains the mechanics and timing excellently, and we’re sure you’ll be adding this to your Ambitious Card Routine in no time.
  9. Sailboat Color Change

    Sailboat by Idan Kaufman

Grab a deck and drop anchor with Idan Kaufman's Sailboat - a brand new knuckle-busting color change from the mind of Israel's up and coming magician. Imagine producing a single playing card, only to have it change in a flash, once, or again and again. A truly impressive move for the seasoned card man, or the ambitious novice, this change isn't for the faint of heart, but believe us, the practice will be worth it.
  10. Invisible Speller

    Invisible Speller by Dani DaOrtiz

Three spectators shuffle a deck of cards, and one is asked to think of any card possible. After the selection is made, a spectator spells the name of their thought-of-card from the deck on the table. Incredibly, the final card of the spelling sequence is their mental selection. A personal favorite of DaOrtiz, you’ll enjoy detailed explanation of not only the effect itself, but the psychological subtitles involved in both the trick and selection process. Today Dani DaOrtiz shares with us another minor miracle guaranteed to astound both magicians and spectators alike.

  15. Concerto by Dani DaOrtiz

    Concerto by Dani DaOrtiz

From one of Magic’s foremost minds, comes a multilayered effect -- combining both the plots of a Torn & Restored Card and ACCAN - that will leave any audience baffled. A card is selected and signed by an audience member, after being torn into quarters a spectator is invited to hold a torn corner as a “receipt” of the card. In a flash, the scraps of card vanish. A number is then freely named and when dealt to that position, the signed, selected card is found perfectly intact, save for a missing corner. When compared to the audience member’s piece—a perfect match is discovered. A miracle!

  31. Click 2

    Click 2.0 by Valdemar Gestur

Click 2.0 is an updated, simplified handing, of Valdemar's visual color change performed with a rubber band and a deck of cards. The effect, similar to the original Click Change, differs in a way that you no longer have to "snap the band down onto the card" to make the change. Click 2.0 is done entirely with one hand, providing an even more impossible condition. Because of this, Valdemar was able to reengineer the secret-wrap to be less suspecting. Although prior knowledge of the original Click Change is not necessary to perform this new handling we do encourage learning both methods.
  32. Shooting Start Control by Jeff Prace

Shooting Star Control by Jeff Prace

In this casual control to the top, a card is merely tossed into the deck, in which it is then seen protruding half-way out. The magician then cleanly pushes the card flush with the deck. Without any further moves, the card is on top. Although a bit knacky, it's a fantastic illusion that is imperceptible in the close-up environment.
