The first feeling when I see the magazine is awesome. It came in the nice plastic zip lock bag to protect the book, and with the gold D&D signature on the cover. And I would say that Brad's photograph is unbelievable amazing. Also, many other photos are also great. And the 18 pages are full with lots of ideas. Also, you will know the brief history of D&D company. How Brad Fulton and Buck twins met, how they shared ideas and what they've got until today. Other than that, there are a few case studies that could lead many ideas to you.
Also, there is a part of the "if an octopus could palm book" explained here. If you haven't bought that book, you can try this magazine and see if the book suits your style or not. Then, there are techniques and tricks explained as well.
I would highly recommend this magazine.
The Dan & Dave Section is right in the middle of the magazine and in it, are many ideas and thought processes, which I feel is great. It doesn't exactly teach you very well, if that's what you were looking for. However, if you've ever wanted to know how Dan and Dave's brains tick, this is a perfect way to that insight. Also, the emphasis on not actually teaching a few moves proves to be very interesting in the way that you're forced to make your own variations and work your own miracles. It's a very inspiring section.
Apart from that, the Magazine teaches, applications of a few moves and a palm that's set out very much like in 'If an Octopus Could Palm'. If you've never learnt by book before I suggest you start here. Even though it's short, you'll start to see how printed magic is taught and you can start to move onto the really great books like By Forces Unseen by Stephen Minch about the magic of Ernest Earick.
There's a lot of great content on the Genii Magazine including reviews of all sorts, a tutorial by Aaron Fisher and a few intriguing articles about other magic practitioners. There are also advertisements for new magic products on the market which will get you thinking. It's great! I love Genii!
The Magazine is signed by Dan and Dave themselves so I guess that's a great big bonus and also, it comes in a tough plastic ziplock bag. Awesome.
