Bee®

Bee cards are excellent quality playing cards at bargain pricing. The stock is heavier than the Bicycle stock, and the finish is soft, making these cards very enjoyable to work with. The lack of borders do tend to make some effects more difficult to achieve, but I have yet to run across any that are made impossible. If you feel that you really need the borders but still want the Bee feel, the Bee Acorn Backs, Bee Smith Backs, or the Bee Stingers are all excellent alternatives although they are also more expensive.

Bees are the cards I turn to when I get tired of bicycles. They are much thicker, heavy duty cards and do handle differently than regular bikes. The all over design does have some draw backs, you can't do tricks where cards need to be reversed in the deck (i.e. Triumph). I also have some difficulties doing double lifts with them because they are so thick, but after a day or two I adjust and everything is fine. They are very nice for a change of pace and it's good to switch up the size and quality of the cards every now and then. Good conditioning for your hands. The perfect way to practice any type of false deal is stack two Bee's and then deal away. Do that for a while and one deck of some regular bikes will feel like the easiest cards to manipulate in the world.

Bees are among my favorite cards for doing gambling and dealing demonstrations because the lack of border hides sleights really well. As for magic the lack of borders makes doing effects such as triumph difficult because the borderless design makes face up cards obvious. Keep that in mind. For gamblers and card mechanics, it is a must buy.
