Inspired by a vintage aesthetic, these U.S. Regulation Playing Cards in plaid are offered in a Striking Arizona Red and a Casual California Blue. They're the perfect accompaniment for everyday use, but also feature posh details and amusing activities never before paired with a deck of cards.
From the natural color palette, leatherette box, off-white faces, and illustrated joker of the majestic Buck to the crossword puzzles and definitive recipe for the world's oldest known cocktail, the Sazerac, it's no doubt these cards were designed for men and are among the finest ever produced.
"For us, these cards bring back fond memories of childhood camping trips with our grandfather. Watching him pitch a tent, reel in a fish, and bring fire ablaze under a starry night were magical moments we never forgot. In honor of those days by the river and nights under the stars, we are proud to offer these new playing cards."
Printed by the US Playing Card Company on a premium stock with a cambric finish. Packaged in a custom 12-pack carton available only for orders of a dozen or more.
The design of the cards however are the selling point. The design is simple and elegant, and contains the old fashioned gambling look to it. The borderless back makes the fans incredible. The faces of the cards also have the old look to it, making the cards stand out among other cards (since many products, mainly the Bicycle products, have the exact same faces). The design of the cards is arguably in it's own class.
Overall, these cards are definitely worthy to be in any magician's or gambler's collection.
Handles like butter, very smooth, unlike a lot of new decks. Thicker feel, yes, but I don't think that's a bad thing.
To me that just says durability. They have a warm feel and appearance.
The fanning is fabulous. Period.
I hesitated for months before buying these, now I really want to get a brick of the reds. And I have not even opened the blues yet....
Hi, my name is Andy and I have a Gambling problem...
I mean... not a real gambling problem per-say... but I have been on a pretty bad Erdnase/Vernon/Scarne/Madison-esque binge of late and I find myself grabbing these cards more often than not. Whether your bottom dealing, second dealing, or trying your best to achieve a center deal or a table faro... You can't get much more classic then this simple and beautiful all over back design. They are prefect for crooked dealing techniques as they are almost impossible to detect, plus you get the benefit of Dan and Daves superb stock and finish. You just can't go wrong!
If you're into classic table magic, or you just play a... less than reputable poker game, you must have these.
5/5 all the way, the only complaint I could possibly have would be the joker reveal, which is a little blatant for my taste.
