A quick and easy to perform walk-around approach to the classic "Oil & Water" plot first presented by Edward Marlo in the 1950s. Watch as both red and black cards mix and un-mix like oil and water.
Helder Guimarães is quickly becoming recognized as one of magic’s great magic minds and performers. His victory at FISM in 2006 drew the attention of many because his effects were so diabolical, the judges thought he might have used stooges! Shades of the brilliant Lennart Green, no less. More recently, however, he has been doing some of the best and most diabolical magic extant at various conventions and at the Magic Castle. His projects for magicians are of exceptional value, all of his videos are excellent and contain thinking of the highest order, which will definitely catch you off guard, his writings include cutting edge thinking and theory, and his recent Ontology Project is a collection of real miracles, no kidding.
This is basically another version of oil and water card trick. But, I personally favor this version more than the classic one because this version is really clean, you'll need 6 cards only, no additional card or any other thing than that. Your start is also clean with the 3 red and 3 black really separated. The cards are really mixed, and then return with real separation of both colors. More over than that, you can hand them the cards instantly after the 2 colors are separated. Also, since this trick is done in hands, so you will be able to perform it everywhere you want, unlike the classic version of oil and water card trick that you will need a table for the trick. So, This is a must-owned oil and water version.

Helder Guimaraes is one of my top-super-favourite magicians and I like pretty much everything he publishes. No exception to this one, which is an oil and water routine on the spot. This one does not use 8 cards as most routines do but three, so you could fit the trick in a larger routine where you start with 6 cards and then make it more difficult. The video also includes a ''sometimes opener'', where the cards are introduced face down and a quick transpo takes place. The quality of the video is great and clear. Helder teaches all the moves and everything you need to perform the effect. I would rate it as an intermeddiate-advanced trick, as it requires a few moves. And in order to perform it well, it takes some practice. But hey, which trick doesn't, right? Overall a great product.
