The ULTIMATE DECK is a one-of-a-kind, luxury deck of playing cards showcasing stunning works of art on every card. Produced in collaboration with award-winning design firm, Stranger & Stranger.
Every single card in the Ultimate Deck is represented with a unique story, incorporating classical art, as well as works from todays leading illustrators.
"The Ultimate Deck was an ambitious project over a year in the making, and is a landmark achievement for playing cards. There is nothing else like it."
The Ultimate Deck features 54 unique works of art, and an elaborate back design. Packaged in a gorgeous tuck-case of extraordinary detail featuring embossed elements and foil accents. On the sides of the tuck-case the phrases, "The Marvel of The Odd Minded Await", and "Relish The Experience of The Bewildered" are written.
Each deck is carefully packaged and sealed with a vintage-inspired tax stamp.
Printed at The United States Playing Card Company using their finest, premium card stock for everlasting oohs and aahs. Fit for a museum, the ULTIMATE UNCUT is a masterpiece. Includes a matching deck of cards. They measure 22 inches by 26.5 inches.
This deck is called The Ultimate Deck and it is exactly that, hands down the most beautiful playing card deck I have ever seen. I receive compliments from everyone who handles them, both the cards themselves and also the intricate box they are included in.
You will not be disappointed with this deck!
I HIGHLY recommend the uncut sheet. Any other uncut sheet wouldn't have the amazing color and personality this one has in each of its 56 parts.
Great Product. Very Unique. I LOVE IT.
In fact, I love them so much I will be ordering the uncut sheet soon, which includes another deck! (Which I'm absolutely chuffed about) so I will have some beautiful wall art and also a beautiful new deck!
All in all, this is probably my favourite deck of cards ever, which have beautiful design and handle fantastically.
A MUST BUY!
The box is gorgeous, with its black-on-black raised design, and a gold glyph I keep staring at, trying to read. Even the "tax stamp" is beautiful, and after cutting it, I stuck it back together and saved it.
Then the cards: silken to the touch, each one an individual piece of art. Each one a story to tell yourself as you look over them. I'm not certain you could play with this deck... I, at least, would be far too distracted by the imagery.
Almost immediately upon shuffling the deck, some of my cards became dirty and scratched from the surface I used. And you know what? I'm fine with that. Because they are cards, and meant to be handled.
Anyway: I have a lovely, uncut sheet that is waiting for a frame, and will soon be on my wall.
If you love cards, trust me, order a pack. Use them. Stare at them. Whatever you want. Because they are definitely worth the cost.
I wonder if I can get them by the case?
If you see a deck similar to this but with gilded edges, say on Ebay or elsewhere, that is the deck sold directly by Stranger and Stranger in a commemorative box for two hundred dollars. This is exactly the same deck, without the commemorative box set, and without gilded edges. It's the same artwork and same cards.
What am I going to do with cards I can't play with? Well, I'm planning to cut my own mat and construct my own gilded frame to display them. I did not purchase the uncut sheet which probably would have been easier to mat and frame, but I feel each card is interesting enough to mat individually. Hopefully pictures to follow soon.
